Educational Neuroscience: Current Brain Research Findings and the Implications for Education

This workshop offers a current overview of educational neuroscience findings and a discussion of how these findings guide our educational practice. References for further study and professional development will be offered. Early Childhood and Elementary Educators are encouraged to attend.

Presented by Gina Elowe

Gina received a B.A. in Child Development and Education from Connecticut College and a M.A. in Education from The University of Connecticut. She is certified in Georgia in ten fields from three categories: Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades, and Special Education. She holds certification from Gesell Institute of Human Development for Early Years/Kindergarten Workshop. Gina has over 20 years of experience in public schools, independent schools, and state run programs working as a special education teacher, regular education teacher, program administrator, and as a participant on board committees.
