Get ready to take flight in the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) Drone Competition — a thrilling, hands-on STEM challenge designed for students in Grades 3 through 12! This dynamic event invites young aviators to pilot drones through a series of exciting missions that test precision, strategy, and teamwork.

MISSION HIGHLIGHTS:

  • HOOP MISSION: Navigate your drone through a series of hoops, earning points for each successful pass. Fly through in ascending order for bonus points!
  • INFINITY MISSION: Master the art of control by guiding your drone in a zig-zag ‘S’ pattern between pool noodles, with opportunities to double your score on the return path.
  • TENNIS BALL STAND MISSIONS: Challenge your skills by knocking tennis balls off platforms and dislodging walls on both the light and dark sides of the field.
  • LANDING MISSION: Demonstrate precision by landing your drone on designated structures, with higher points awarded for more challenging landing.
  • HOOP AND BALL MISSION: Combine agility and accuracy as you fly through hoops and knock down tennis balls, with the chance to double your points on a successful return.
  • SUN AND MOON CHALLENGE: Strategically move the ‘Sun’ and ‘Moon’ ping pong balls into their respective zones for additional points and bonuses.
  • TENNIS BALL IN MILK JUG: Plan your approach to drop tennis balls into strategically placed milk jugs, maximizing your score base on placement.
